Everything You Need for a Sacred Stay
Padagaya Dharamshala is designed for one purpose: to give pilgrims a peaceful, sattvic base for their spiritual journey at Pithapuram. Here is everything you need to know before you arrive.
How to Book Your Room
Booking your stay at Padagaya Dharamshala is simple and takes less than five minutes. We recommend booking at least 7–10 days in advance during regular seasons and 30 days in advance during Pitru Paksha, Amavasya weekends, and major festival periods when demand is high.
- 1Contact us via WhatsApp (+91 95534 63555) or email (seva@padagaya.in) with your preferred dates and room type.
- 2We confirm availability and share the booking amount. An advance payment is required to hold your room.
- 3Pay securely via UPI, net banking, or card through our Razorpay payment link.
- 4Receive your booking confirmation with check-in instructions, our address, and the coordinator's contact number.
- 5Arrive at check-in time (12:00 PM) with your government ID. Our team will greet you and escort you to your room.
Sacred Sites Within Walking Distance
One of the greatest advantages of staying at Padagaya Dharamshala is the immediate proximity to all the sacred sites in Pithapuram. Unlike hotels in Kakinada (25 km away), our accommodation places you right at the heart of the kshetra, allowing you to perform early morning rituals (brahma muhurtam), attend evening arati, and make multiple visits to the temples without any travel.

Facilities for Elderly & Senior Pilgrims
A significant number of our guests are elderly pilgrims — grandparents and senior family members performing ancestral rites for their departed parents. We understand their specific needs and have arranged our facilities with their comfort and safety in mind.
- Ground-floor rooms available for elderly guests — no stairs required (subject to availability, request at time of booking)
- Hot water available 24/7 — essential for senior guests who require warm water for bathing at all hours
- Wheelchair access to common areas and ground floor rooms
- On-call assistance: Our resident caretaker can help with luggage, temple navigation, and ritual coordination
- Priest coordination: We can arrange for the priest to come to the Dharamshala rather than the devotee travelling to the temple, for mobility-limited guests
- Emergency contact protocol: We maintain emergency contact details for all guests and can coordinate with local hospitals if needed
- Sattvic meals: Pure vegetarian, freshly cooked meals can be arranged at the Dharamshala for guests who are fasting or on a specific ritual diet
Sattvic Food & Meal Arrangements
The spiritual significance of sattvic (pure, vegetarian) food during a pilgrimage cannot be overstated. Our in-house pure vegetarian kitchen prepares simple, nourishing South Indian meals — rice, dal, sambar, rasam, sabzi, and traditional Andhra dishes — using fresh ingredients without onion or garlic during ritual periods.
- Breakfast: Available from 6:30 AM — idli, vada, upma, or pongal (rotation)
- Lunch: Available from 12:00 PM — full thali with rice, dal, sambar, and seasonal vegetables
- Dinner: Available from 7:00 PM — light sattvic meal
- Special ritual diet (nirjala, phalahar, or ekadashi) meals available on request
- Tea and coffee available throughout the day in the common area
- Meal packages can be added to your room booking at the time of reservation
Non-vegetarian food is strictly not permitted anywhere on the Dharamshala premises, in keeping with the sanctity of the kshetra.
